Purpose of the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to oversee the delivery of multiple projects in the Luton region. This is a pivotal role, responsible for ensuring schemes are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
The successful candidate will be an effective leader with a proven background in managing complex projects in live environments, particularly within healthcare and education.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the delivery of multiple contracts simultaneously.
- Ensure projects are completed in line with programme, budget, and quality expectations.
- Manage client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate project teams including Site Managers, Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Provide regular progress updates and reports to senior management.
- Contribute to business growth by identifying opportunities for repeat business and developing long-term client relationships.
- Support and mentor junior members of the project team.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager with a main contractor.
- Strong track record of delivering projects in Healthcare and Education sectors.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets and contractual matters.
- Knowledge of construction processes, legislation, and best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in live, operational environments.
- Relevant construction qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree in Construction Management or similar).
- CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid qualifications desirable.
